I wrote it just to see if I could, and kept writing fiction when I found out how much I enjoyed it. Now I've begun to dream a little, but I'm realistic enough to know that even if publication isn't a pipe dream, a lot of novelists never get there. Dreams have to be supported by a love of writing so it won't matter how long it takes to fulfill them, or if they never materialize at all.
