By His Wounds We Are Healed

No regular post today in honor of Good Friday.

Have a Happy Easter and I’ll see you on Monday.

He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:3-5

    >Isaiah 53 is one of the most beautiful passages in the old testament, such a clear look at the cross.

Reading it again was a blessing to my day.

Thanks Rachelle, and a blessed Easter to you and your family.

    He is Risen!

    >I have it on good authority that Isaiah’s original manuscript was passed on by every agent and editor of his time and that he eventually self published.

    Best Easter to All

    >Lord, I stand in awe of your sacrifice – of your steadfast 33 years of a life lived in a way I could not, so that you would qualify to be the kind of perfect, blameless sacrifice it would take to free me from the judgment of my sin and save me. Not only did you suffer death and separation from your adoring Father for me, you spent 33 years living a perfect life for me. I am in awe of your gift, your mercy and your grace. No words can express my thanks, Lord. I pray I will live my gratitude each day.
