I’m blogging over at Books & Such today. Here’s a preview:

There are plenty of places online to get tips for using Twitter effectively. (I’ve given you some links at the end of this post.)

But today I’m going to give you just ONE tip. I think it’s the first and most important thing you can do to make your Twitter experience manageable, effective, and even fun. Here it is:

Use Hootsuite.

I’ve discovered a excellent free iphone ocr app which changes jpegs to pdf. It functions very well compared to lots of the other ocr apps that convert files.

Just recently stumbled across HS and have found sheer joy in it! Love scheduling posts, and the fact that it chooses the best time to tweet it.

    Like your blog 🙂

Great tip. My Twitter engagement has increased monumentally since I downloaded the Hootesuite app to my phone. It’s a fantastic and easy to use tool. I especially love that it lets you schedule posts for later.

I’ve been using Tweetdeck but have heard a lot of good things about Hootsuite. Will have to give it a try 🙂

    Thanks for the recommendation.

    Thank you!

    Thank you!

    Thank you!!!!

I’m one of those who has been overwhelmed by the ‘drinking from a fire hose’ aspect of Twitter. Most of the advice I’ve seen for using Twitter and other SM assumes a basic level of knowledge I simply don’t have, and it’s so very refreshing to get a clear and concise explanation of an app that will help.

I totally agree with this. This is advice I give people starting out on Twitter too. It’s the best thing for scheduling tweets (and Facebook updates, etc.) about your blog and anything else. LOVE IT!

Hootsuite is my Twitter platform of choice. Makes it easy to scan updates, follow conversations, etc. Highly recommended.

I’ve put off using HootSuite because I already have so many online stuff going on. But after opening it up from your post, I see that it might just help me in that regard. Thanks.
